1 week left!

Today's appointment went very quickly. All of the boys were practicing their breathing and moving around like they should be. We had to convince baby A, but then only after a few minutes he behaved and started moving and breathing. I think he was napping because the whole car ride over he was moving all around. Their fluid levels all look good too. Our sonographer "cheated" a bit today to make sure she had the right babies and measured their bellies quickly. I missed what A's measured, but C's was exactly what it should be for 34 w 1 day. B's was 32 and 5 or something. Our tiny guy!

I loved how they were laying today and completely understand why my pelvis has been hurting more. A had his head on the left and his hiney on the right and was shoved way down in my pelvis making it hard to get a look at things, it also means he is transverse and pushing my pelvis apart. Thanks buddy. B was also transverse right on top of A and his head was on my right with his hiney on the left. C was transverse on top of the pile and his head was on the left. So they were a zig zag pile today!

I'm doing fairly well. It's amazing how much more uncomfortable I am this week as compared to last week. It is definitely difficult to get around and stairs have become quite painful! All that to say, I'm happy to be still cooking these boys! I was a bit nervous on Sunday because I had quite a few contractions that night and really didn't want to have them then. I have learned my lesson and have told Dan to make sure I am doing as little as possible. The planned c-section is only 1 week away and I'm hoping I make it!

Please pray for the continued health of the boys and the pregnancy as well as some rest for me. It is getting harder to sleep at night. Also pray that we make it to June 5th! I'd really like to wait and be delivering 35 weekers, so let's keep these boys cooking!

I can't believe we only have 1 appointment left and 1 week until these guys will be here!

Only 2 appointments left! (33 weeks 4 days)

Today was actually a short appointment, which was surprising because the last few have been incredibly long. My prenatal visit was good. My blood pressure was slightly elevated when they took it the first time, but the second time it was great, so they aren't worried. Everything else is going well. My pubic bone has been hurting when I do certain things and it was determined that it is likely separating at this point, so by a week from Tuesday we shall see how it feels! I really can't complain though, I feel very blessed to be this far along and still not on bedrest!

The boys were fairly well behaved today. Baby C was practice breathing almost the whole time. The sonographer felt that he was probably asleep because he wasn't moving around a lot until she tormented him a bit. ;-) Babies A and B were moving all over the place, but refused to breathe for the longest time, then after we had a discussion with them (haha) they both decided to practice one after the other. They are really cramped in there, so it's getting much harder to see things. I just can't believe we only have 2 scheduled appointments left! Yikes!

This weekend we have lots of fun things planned. My twin neice and nephew turn 4 this weekend and we have their party on Saturday. I still remember holding them in the hospital the day they were born, can't believe they are 4 already! Then we have a couple of friends coming over with their kiddos. One last BBQ before the boys arrive! And Dan and Maddy have a special activity planned. Maddy is so excited! Can you tell?

2 weeks or less!

2 weeks from today is the scheduled c-section... That just seems so hard to imagine. I am super excited to meet these little dudes, but seeing 3 bouncy seats all lined up and 3 cribs in the nursery makes it a bit overwhelming as well. The uncertainty of not knowing what kind of hospital stay is ahead is also a bit overwhelming. We were told last week that the last triplets born were 35 and 2 and were able to go home when the mom was. We don't want to get our hopes up, but at least there may be a chance that we will get to have at least one of the boys with us, honestly though all I want is 3 healthy guys whatever that means by way of hospital stay.

Today's appointment went well, the boys are doing well in their cramped quarters. Baby B took forever to decide to breathe, so while we were waiting for Baby B, Daniel and I were dozing off and on, oops! This being up late every night of the week thing has been draining!

That brings me to the next big news... We are officially moved into the new house! Ask me where anything is and I probably couldn't tell you, but we are in the house! We had such a great team of friends and family that we were able to not only get moved in, but also get some things unpacked. We have many rooms completely unpacked including Maddy's room, the boys' room, and the playroom. You know, the most important ones! We are just so thankful to all of those who helped us move. Words won't ever be able to truly express our gratitude. Don't think that gets you out of baby duty though!

This post is probably pretty scattered, so I hope you bear with me. I'm hoping to catch up on sleep in the next few days, so that may help! Please pray that the boys continue to grow and that they continue to cook until their scheduled arrival. Also pray that we are able to get settled into the house before the boys arrive and that we are able to catch up on sleep! We know that our days of getting sleep are numbered!

Here are some pictures of the Boys' room.  It's not quite finished, but it's a start.

Confusion! (32 weeks 4 days)

So the boys gave us a run for our money today! On the way over to the hospital for the appointment I told Dan, Baby B is not where he usually is. We both didn't think much more about it until the sonographer told us that Baby A had only gained 3 ounces in the last 3 weeks and that B was now the second largest. We knew then that the boys had shifted and after the doctor looked at the scans he came back and reassured us that all was well and that our boys were just trying to be difficult! They had all shifted enough to be confusing! Regardless of who was who all of their dopplers and amniotic fluid pockets looked good. They were all moving and after some coaxing all practiced their breathing for us to see. They are no longer going to be checking my cervix, which kind of freaks me out a bit because I won't know if it's changing, but I really don't mind not having that ultrasound! The doctor said at this point if I were to go into active labor they wouldn't necessarily stop it, so pray that the boys and my body behave and make it to the scheduled date!

I think we have their weights correct at:
Baby A: 4 lbs 3 oz
Baby B: 3 lbs 6 oz
Baby C: 4 lbs

That's 11lbs 9oz of baby! Yikes! I'm hoping that in the next 2 weeks and 4 days they all gain enough to be around 5 pounds or more.

In other news we are currently moving into our new house! Yay! Don't worry I'm sitting around doing nothing, and it's killing me! The plan is to get most everything moved in today and tomorrow and then have my "team" of family and friends unpack tomorrow. It'll be fun to search for everything!

Please keep praying that all goes well with the pregnancy and that the boys continue to grow well. I can't believe that in less than 3 weeks I get to meet them! Also please pray that everything continues to go smoothly with the move and that we get mostly settled before the boys arrive!

Twice a week! (32 weeks 1 day)

Today was the first of our biweekly visits, which we will have every Tuesday and Friday from now until the boys arrive. Today should have been short and sweet; however, the boys had other plans. First, the sonographer located each boy, which is what they typically do. Then, when she went to start scanning A's head was nowhere to be found. The little man had managed to flip around from head down to breech to shove his head up under my belly button between his brothers. Once she figured out where everyone was for the second time she was able to start scanning. Since today was just a biophysical profile she just had to look at heart rate, amniotic fluid level, movement, and practice breathing. Easier said than done! Since A had been doing acrobatic flips his heart rate was very high, so we had to check him again later on. By the fourth time she checked his heart rate he was apparently getting ready to nap bc his heart rate was in the 130s. B was well behaved today, I think my talk with him really helped because he has behaved for the last few scans! He had the hiccups, which was funny to watch. C was the trouble maker today. He refused to practice breathing for us... He would take one or two breaths and then stop. What a turd! I had to roll to either side and then back to my back and she had to wiggle the ultrasound wand on my belly and he finally started breathing! Last week he was breathing so much it was screwing with the dopplers! The cool part about him taking 20 minutes to decide to practice was that in the middle of it all she was able to get a picture with all 3 of their heads in one shot. I think they are already plotting against me!

Next appointment is Friday and so for now the boys are good.

Oh and the move begins...

As normal as can be with triplets (31w 4d)

We had our weekly appointment today. They decided to wait until next week to do growth, so I was bummed about that! I want to know how big these boys are getting. Today they tried to confuse the sonographer bc they were all in different positions than last time. After looking a few times we are pretty sure we had it correct. A was head down/transverse on the bottom. B was transverse with his feet on the left and head on the right. C was transverse/breech with his head under B's chest and his feet down toward A's head. They were quite the pile up today! As far as the biophysical profile, the AFI and the Dopplers - everything on EACH boy was normal! Baby B may be finally getting his act together because his umbilical artery wasn't even borderline abnormal this week!

The prenatal visit went well also. My blood pressure was really good, my urine is clean and I can still see my ankle bones, so the swelling is in check. They drew preeclampsia labs today, but just as a precaution. They said they expect them to come back normal, but because of being pregnant with triplets I am at a higher risk for developing atypical preeclampsia, so they just want to be proactive.

This has also been my first week off from work, and man has it been challenging. I find it very hard to sit and do nothing, especially bc we are moving next week. I'm trying very hard to behave and not over do anything. I can't wait until we move next week. We have a bunch of people helping, so we will hopefully get unpacked in a hurry!

Next week we start 2x a week appointments. Oh and the c-section is scheduled for June 5th! Pray the boys behave and wait until they are scheduled to arrive! As always please pray for their health and the health of the pregnancy. Also please pray for an uneventful move next week!

Cutest Little Girl...

Ok, so I may be a bit biased, but she is awfully cute!  I had to share some pictures from the last few days because she is just way too cute not to!

Maddy helped daddy get his settings right on the camera prior to her Uncle Tommy's prom by posing for a few shots at the prom's location.  Well as much as you can get a two year old to pose when there are approximately 1,000 people around, as well as a giant fountain and a "river" to explore.

Saying "cheese", she still hasn't figured out that she has to say it and look at the camera at the same time!  (Please don't judge my husband's photography skills by the first picture, I was messing around with the editing software, and the sun kept coming out from behind clouds.  The ones of his brother and his date actually turned out really nicely!)

Trying to escape to the fountain, good thing Grandma and Grandpa were there for back up!

 Watching everything but her daddy.

She was very excited that she found plants, she thought they were vegetables, but after we told her they weren't she stopped trying to eat them!  To her credit, we just had our first visit to our CSA for the year and we got spring onions and leaf lettuce and spinach!

These are not from prom night, but I thought it was too cute not to include.  Her daddy is so proud of her budding baseball skills!  And yes, I have a "No playing ball in the house" rule, but sometimes mommy gets overruled!

That's it for now, I have an appointment on Friday and I think they will be doing another growth scan for the boys, so I should have updated stats!  YAY!

Santa in June? (30 weeks 4 days)

Today was a relatively uneventful appointment, which I guess is a good thing. We had a prenatal visit today as well as an ultrasound. My blood pressure is good, no protein in my urine and so far I really haven't had a lot of swelling in my legs. Now later today when it's 86 degrees that could be a different story! I started insulin yesterday, which is no fun, but if it keeps the pregnancy healthy then so be it. We tweaked my dosages a bit bc after my morning dose I was a little shaky before and while eating and I had a major headache. I doubt the new doses will stay where they are for long, but we shall see.

As far as the ultrasound - things looked good today. My cervix is still long and hasn't really changed at all yet. Let's hope that it doesn't! I also found out that after 32 weeks they may not check it anymore. That would be so nice! The boys were being difficult as usual, A was breech, but had his head kind of under B and C. He really doesn't want us to see his face anymore! B and C are both head down, but all three of them have their heads toward the center of my belly. Don't they say 3 heads are better than one? It's funny that they have their heads lined up in a row. All of their fluid levels looked good, their dopplers were all good as well. B's umbilical artery was "slightly abnormal", so he is right on par with where he has been.

I was also able to get the schedule fixed after the craziness from last week. The nurses are great and made it happen. Starting the week of the 13th I will be going 2x a week for biophysical profiles. I was also asked by the nurse about my preference for who would deliver me. She is going to get my c-section scheduled during their Monday meeting! Yikes! Good news is that if it all works out as planned then the boys will get to meet Santa in the delivery room! Ok he's not really Santa, but he looks like him! 😉

Otherwise things are going well, we finally have an official closing date for the house! Yay! And a tentative moving date. Pray that all goes smoothly with the move and that the boys cooperate and wait until their scheduled date to arrive! We have just over 4 weeks to get moved and settled! Pray!!!

Well for uneventful I sure typed a lot! Happy weekend everyone!
